Hey reaper, I think we are already friends on XBL haha. At least I have you shown as a friend, my ID is 'Robert P'. I only have like 10 friends on Live (and about 6 of those have active accounts).

About the OS of the XB1, I haven't spent too much time with it but I'm not that impressed. Initially it was neat seeing how the XB1 responded to voice commands, but it was also a bit annoying when the system didn't react to what you said. To be fair, you do have to say the exact phrase (which my brother didn't always do), but if I had the controller in my hand it is easier for me to hit the home button instead of saying 'Xbox Go Home'. I will let you know more as I play with around with it this week but right now it is OK.
I did get a couple of workouts in with Xbox fitness last night. This is pretty cool. The Kinect will track you and tell you that you need to move your legs/arms/etc. more when you are slacking, and also compares you to others in your age group. I chose one of the MANY "10 minute workouts" to start off. The majority of free workouts consist of these and the one I tried was pretty easy, so that was a bit disappointing. Next was the kickboxing one with Jillian Michaels, much better. The bad thing though is that I don't have enough room to move really far back from the sensor so if I switched to a floor exercise I wasn't being tracked properly. The sensor was pretty good at tracking your moves for the most part, but sometimes would fail even if I was in the frame and doing the move correctly. Worst part is that the workout is streaming and on the second one I lost my connection numerous times. I'm pretty sure it wasn't my internet connection but on their side, and when it did come back it was out of sync with the audio by about 2 seconds. All in all I still liked it, I hope they continue to add more workouts and refine it.

I cannot see any of the content you're always linking to here. Is this just me or is this happening to other people?

Did you copy the entire link and paste it? It seems this forum splits the clickable part of the link in half for some reason!

Copying and pasting ended up working for me.

I tried the URL tag to prevent it from splitting but that didn't work. So I am open to suggestions.

I'm in the titanfall beta!! First impressions:
I'll say a few things after my first hour with the game...
1. It's pretty cool that the game starts you with a tutorial. It walks you through the controls, HUD, etc. It sets up some battle situations and walks you through those as well. I really liked learning that way rather than in battle online.
2. The smart pistol is great fun. It locks on to enemies, even multiple enemies at one time, and allows you to kill them in rapid succession. This could make the game more fun for people who are not great at aiming.
3. Everyone gets a titan. I think this is super cool. You don't have to be a great player to get one. You will get one eventually. It's just that the better players get it sooner. This also seems to lower the entry point. It's not like CoD where only the best players are getting the cool toys.
4. The graphics are not great. They are serviceable but the textures are somewhat low res, the lighting is not impressive, there is aliasing and I saw a couple of frame rate dips. But overall, it didn't bother me as it wasn't the main draw of this title.
5. The gameplay is fun. There are a lot of cool things to do like killing grunts or pilots. Attacking titans on foot or in your own titan, etc. It's high octane fun all around. If I had to pick a down side, I would say that I miss the variety of vehicles we see in halo. But overall, it's a great setup.
6. Loving the radar. I have always liked the halo style radars better. They show the enemies on the screen all the time. CoD shows enemies only when they shoot. So, this game lends itself to more of a run and gun style of gameplay because you always know where your enemies are.
7. The sounds and music are nice. I love the voice telling you what is going on. "Your titan will be ready in 30 seconds." "There is an enemy soldier on your titan!" Meanwhile, some epic music is playing in the background.
Overall, I'm having fun and I think it would work well for smaller matches... even 4 on 4 or so.

Titanfall is multiplayer only, correct? There's no single player campaign if I recall.

Correct. They say the game will have something campaign like but even that will depend on the involvement of others and they've not shown any of it at all.

I wanted to add that wall running is awesome. I love the verticality of these maps and how people can just be all over the place.
Also, My son believes that AI enemies always show on your map (with the right perks) but real people do not always show on your map (radar). I am not 100% sure about it. But just want to put that out there in case I am wrong.
I played it a lot more and ... well... I just want to keep playing. So, that's a good sign! Only played Attrition so far (deathmatch). But man, it's so much fun running in a room with the auto pistol and nailing 5 AI guys!
Also, I started getting burn cards. You earn these cards during a match and you can choose some specific cards between matches. Then, during the next match you can use them if you want. They are essentially like kill streak rewards but not nearly as powerful. And you can use them whenever you want during the match (at a respawn moment).
Also, I discovered that you can spawn into a titan if you have earned one and die. Pretty cool to drop down inside one!

Guacamelee was one of my first plats on the Vita and not only have I banked this on Xbox One (until I get one) but I will probably buy it on PS4 to play through again with the new content. One of my favorite games of the past five years, easily.

I am hoping they put this on PS+. Otherwise I will get it on Wii U as I have a ton of credit from purchasing discounted N point cards.
