Hey all,
I was looking at all of my games earlier and realized there are some I am looking to get rid of. Normally I would either trade them into my EB/Gamestop for store credit or maybe sell them on ebay. However, on other forums I frequent, I saw that they actually sell/trade games with others on the board. I thought this might be a good idea since we're all adults here and can trust one another. Is anyone interested in getting in on something like this? If not, its no big deal at all, but if so, it could work out quite well since chances are we'd be getting/giving better deals than what we could otherwise get from a local game store. A seller could get more money from someone here than a local store, and a buyer could probably get a game cheaper than from a local store.
So, to start things off, I'll list a few of the games I'm looking to ditch if anyone is interested:
UPDATED(4-24-05):
Nintendo DS:
Feel the Magic
XBOX:
Rallisport Challenge 2
GC:
Ikaruga
PS1:
Metal Gear Solid
GBA:
Advance Wars Advance Wars 2 Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
All of these games are for sale or trade. If anyone is interested, please let me know and maybe we can work out something. All of my games are in fantastic condition and have been well taken care of. They all come with the box and instructions...even the GBA stuff.
If others want to list stuff they're interested in selling/trading, please do so.
I have other games I am looking to get rid of as well, and I will update my list once I've gone through my collection. As I said, this is all very open now, so please feel free to chime in with your thoughts on what else we can do. Maybe include DVD movies? Thanks!
Dave

Just updated my list and added Advance Wars 2 as well. Just completed it last night. Vado, if you're interested, I'll give you the "good friend" discout Seriously though, I'm all for trading/selling my games with anyone that's interested. I can certainly guarantee I'll cut you a better deal than what you'll get at a local gamestore. If anyone else out there is looking to dump some games/movies, go ahead and list them so maybe we can get things rolling with this idea

Well, I must say I am disappointed as I thought more of you would be interested in doing such a thing. Oh well. Guess I'll take my games to a local shop and trade them in or maybe sell them on ebay.

I'm sorry no one is interested. I guess they all are collectors. ;D Let's keep the thread sticky though . . . just in case someone decides to trade.

Not too late actually. I haven't had a chance to list my games on ebay or see what their trade in value is. What are you interested in? Advance Wars? What are you looking to trade? Or if you're looking to buy it, what seems fair to you. I checked EB Games and Gamestop and both sell it for $15 used without box or instructions. I have the box and instructions all in excellent shape. Make me an offer

Well, in case anyone is interested, I found a great website that lets you trade in games. www.wherehouse.comIt lets you send them in, and they'll give you store credit. They give decent prices. Heck, I got $15 for Mario vs. DK for my GBA. Not bad at all. Anyway, you can use the store credit to buy new games from them. I am sending them 5 game and have about $50 store credit. Games I am sending them are: 1) Mario Vs. DK --GBA 2) Feel the Magic--DS 3) Rallisport Challenge 2--XBOX 4) Contra Advance--GBA 5) Advance Wars 2--GBA Not too bad as I averaged about $10 per game. Definitely more than I could've gotten at EB, Gamestop, or off of ebay. I'll report back to let you all know how smoothly the transaction went. Definitely check it out if you're interested in seeing what you can get for some of your old, unwanted games.

Well everyone, I can't recommend using wherehouse as my experience with them was not very pleasant. First off, wherehouse.com apparently can refuse games from you if they feel they're not in good condition. I sent them a near mint condition copy of rallisport challenge 2. This is a game I played twice at most, so the game was in almost perfect shape. Apparently it got rejected. The problem with this is if they reject a game, they won't send it back to you. I complained to them about this and finally got them to send me the game back. Looking at the disc, I could see it was in worse shape than when I sent it. Still not to the point where it should've been rejected, but certainly not in the same condition I sent it in. I was at least glad I got the game back as I took it and sold it to a different store.
I will say that wherehouse.com is great when it comes to cartridge games since they're not as picky. So, if you got a lot of GBA or DS games you're looking to ditch, they might be a good option. But any disc based games and I recommend you stear clear of them.

Ok folks, I have a few more items I'm looking to dump if anyone is interested in maybe purchasing them.
Black GBA SP--perfect shape, works great. Just looking to trade in for a Micro. Crimson Skies for XBOX--perfect shape. Guarantee will work perfectly. Disney Magical Tetris for Gameboy Color--Perfect shape. Pac Man Vs. for Gamecube -- will not work with Micro, hence no need for game. Perfect shape. Will include GC to GBA connectivity cable.
Make me an offer if anyone is interested.

Hey Ray, Nix the Pac Man Vs. thing. Talking with the fiancee', we decided not to get rid of the SP because Animal Crossing lets you go to the island with connectivity. So, we're gonna keep it. I still plan to get a Micro though. Sorry, this was a last minute thing that she brought to my attention and we both agreed that we need to keep it for AC

Hey reap,
Which Ocarina of Time disc do you have? Does it have the 5 Zelda games on there or just the 2? I'm interested in getting the disc with the 5 games because I never finished Majora's Mask and would like to give it another go.

I think it just has 2, Ocarina of time and then some modification to Ocarina with new puzzles and such.
