Didn't see an obvious place to post this, so I picked this thread... I uploaded a bunch of music I recorded 10-15 years ago onto bandcamp. If anyone is interested or knows others who might like any of my stuff feel free to forward the link below. I'm certainly not asking anyone here to buy anything, but you should be able to stream any of the tracks at least to get a feel for what it sounds like. (I marked a few tracks as free to download as well.) joshualapo.bandcamp.com/Disclaimer: this isn't studio / professional stuff by any means, but it's not bad for what I had to work with (keyboard, multi-track recorder, mic). The second album is a bit more polished than the first as I had learned a lot about what to do and what not to do. I figured I'd see if there's decent enough interest in what I've already recorded; if so, I might get back into the 'studio' and record some more stuff. No hard feelings if you aren't interested and/or don't find my style of songwriting appealing. I was actually listening to these songs as I was shopping for Black Friday stuff, not bad! Man, I would love to be able to have that talent to sing and play piano. The type of music isn't my style so much but as someone who does a little mixing I can definitely appreciate it and all of the work that goes in. If this is something you are passionate about you definitely shouldn't wait so long between albums. Dont' know why but listening to this made me go back and listen to some Ronald Jenkees. Very different styles but it just reminded me on how awesome of a time we live in where it is so easy for any individual to get their music out there for anyone to appreciate.

Cool - thanks for listening! Yeah, it is a great time for self-producing music right now. I'd love to do more, it's just SO time-consuming. I'd estimate around 20 hours per song for my last album, and with so many other distractions (including gaming!) it's tough to sit down and dedicate the needed time. Appreciate the feedback.

Ive been playing a list of games from the WII, ranging from WII Party to New Super Mario Bros. I have recently watched Growing up Smith, pretty good movie. And I recently have been listening to Killy's Killamanjaro, love the visuals.

Welcome to the forum, Sonnyboy!
I recently watched "Ready Player One". I really enjoyed the movie. It had some good comedy, lots of action, plenty of fun references to gaming and pop culture, etc. Loved it.
I also tried a MS VR demo in the mall the other day. It was running on a laptop with some cheaper headset but I have to say, it looked great. I was shooting flying robots out of the sky as the descended towards me and using my other hand as a shield to deflect incoming shots. Pretty cool. I need to get VR some day.

My family and I just got back from spring break at London. I have a friend that lives over there, so we stayed with him. We did some touristy things like seeing stone henge and going to the Harry Potter film studio (my daughter absolutely loved it). We also had bought tickets a year in advance to go see a showing of Hamilton while in town. It was an amazing show overall, but the NYC production was better IMO.
I played some Switch and Vita during some of the travel components of the trip, which was most enjoyable
Amazingly, try as I might, I was not successful in finding any video game stores out in London, or none that we managed to be near anyway. We did a ton of window shopping while there. I visited an amazing toy store called Hamley's (my daughter also loved), an awesome comic book/toy store called Forbidden Planet, but I didn't come across one video game or retro game store. So disappointed.
Oh, and to chime in on what reaper said, I also saw Ready Player One recently. I was a bit disappointed with it, but that's mainly because I read the book a couple times and I absolutely loved the book. The movie wasn't bad, but the book is SO MUCH better. Reaper, if you haven't read this book, make it a priority, it's a ton of fun. The movie isn't bad and they do a very respectable job of throwing as many pop culture items as they can in there. I knew this would be an impossible movie to depict accurately though as it's a licensing nightmare. There's just no way to get all the necessary licenses one would need to do an accurate recreation of the story in the book. So I think Spielberg did as much as he could do and it is a lot of fun overall.
The movie I'm really looking forward to seeing is The Quiet Place, which I am hoping to check out tomorrow.

Saw RPO and yes the book is better, always is. Standalone, I thought the movie was pretty good. The ladies in my family who hate sci fi but LOVED the book, liked the movie too.
Next on my list is Pacific Rim 2. I honestly don't care if the reviews are bad, gundam and kaiju? Hell yes. I consider PR 1 one of my guilty pleasures.
Have been playing a LOT of Thimbleweed Park on my iPad. I seriously considered getting the Limited Run version of the cartridge for Switch but since it's only $5 on iOS, it was a no brainer. If you like old school adventure games w/ some humor, it's really good.

I was a HUGE PR1 fan. I saw it 3 times in the theater. Giant robots vs giant monsters? Nuff said. I especially loved watching it in a theater with DBOX seats so I could feel all the rumbles during the battles. So cool.
PR2 wasn't as good as the first. Still fun to watch, but PR1 just hit on all cylinders IMO.
