You're welcome and thank you! I'm typing on my new iPhone 5s right now. So cool!
Only two oddities I don't currently understand
1 my current bill says I used 1 MB of cellular data but I don't know how that happened. I thought I had cellular data off the whole time. I do remember turning it on once at home when I was on wifi just to see if my phone said lte or something. But I would not have thought that used anything.
2 a friend sent a group text that included me but I never got it. No idea why.
Other than that it's been great so far

1) Depends on how you have your data setup for apps/notifications. In order to optimize data usage, you can go to each individual app and adjust how it notifies you. With email, I turn off 'push' and just fetch data when I actually open Mail. That way, there's no background download of emails and attachments. I do the same w/ app updates. For small increments of 1MB, I'm assuming that Ting just rounds up to the nearest MB for tracking.
2) If your data is off, you will only be included on group texts if they specifically sent you texts. On iOS texts, they show up as green for SMS (text), blue for iMessage (data). You can force a message to be SMS/text by pressing on the message and a bubble pops up so you force it to text. You can only use iMessage (blue messages) when you are on data/wifi.
Yeah, I'm pretty happy w/ Ting. I do like that you can set it to turn off data when you reach a user-defined limit. Helps w/ the kids' data so I don't have to manually check. And I think w/ your 5s, you should be on LTE so it can be pretty fast.
