We may not all celebrate Christmas, but nonetheless, I wanted to take a moment and wish each and every one of you a wonderful holiday. Life these days has become so hectic, so I love this time of year that allows everyone to pause for a moment to reflect on all of our many blessings/good fortunes and enjoy some time with our family, friends, and loved ones. May your holidays be stress free and may your days be spent playing as many games as you can before our 2015 competition ends Looking forward to spending 2016 talking with you all about games, movies, hobbies and life events.

Merry Christmas! I bought myself a last minute gift of Ori and the Blind Forest which is on sale for $10 on xbox right now. If you're a fan of Metroidvania games, do buy. Loving it so far! Enjoy the break!!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I had a really good one and I'm looking forward to relaxing in the next few days. I hear you, dschroll, about life being hectic. Things at my work have been really busy, not bad but just always trying to meet one deadline after the other. By the time I would get home I would just be mentally exhausted so the game time suffered a bit. Not only busy with work but I've also recently bought 20 acres of land. It was a great price, but the only downside is that it is part of a larger subdivision development plan. So if I want to build a house it has to be per the development plan, which includes roads/sewers/sidewalks/etc. that are not there yet. So what I'm trying to do with the city is to modify the development plan just a bit to be able to build my house sooner and by doing so take a portion of the existing development plan and change the layout to add my house with a larger lot size. It is a very slow process working with the city (I've been doing it off and on since July) but when I actually bought the land in November it made things a lot more real. So in some of my free time from my job I am then trying to work with a landscape designer and write a development agreement with the city and other things that take more of my time and money. But things have been so busy with my 9-5 job that I haven't had a chance to take some vacation time. Well, if I don't use some of it I lose it and there is no way I'm letting that happen so I was able to catch up enough to be able to take next week off. Woo hoo! So now I'm looking at my backlog wondering what game to play next. I'm terrible at this. But I decided to play Assassin's Creed. Yeah, the first one. Still haven't played any yet so I figure why not try this game out. So I'm writing this as my PS3 installs the update. Side note rant: I hate that it seems like every time I turn on my PS3, which admittedly is not much, it seems like I have to install a system update. And in this case I need to install a game update in order to play. So irritating. Sometimes these updates take a while too. Anyways, hope you all are enjoying yourselves and getting some good time with the family too! I'm really looking forward to this coming week! If you have any older games that you want to recommend please throw it out there. (reaper, I checked to see if I had Ori and the Blind Forest on Steam and I don't yet, but plan to get it eventually) Edit: Side note rant 2: And all of my PS3 controllers are dead, haha. So I have to plug in my short usb cable while I play. First world problems... Edit 2: Found a usb cable long enough to reach the couch. Success!!

fatty, Heavy Rain on PS3 is great, but it's mentally draining. I got to a point where the story got to me enough that I had to put it down for a bit.

20 acres for your house! That is epic. You can go hunting in your own back yard Sweet! Any pics?

oldskool, that is an excellent recommendation. Exactly the type of game I am looking to play. Thanks! Playing it today.
reaper, unfortunately there aren't any woods, just a few trees. No good pics but I will try to find some and throw some up in a bit.
Edit: Downloading the 1145MB game update for Heavy Rain right now.
