Had my OG Gameboy in the garage for a while and it hasn't worked. I cleaned up the remnants of an exploded battery and now it's good to go. I showed it to Diego this morning and you would've thought I gave him $1M. I feel sorry for anyone that talks to him at school today, I don't think he's got anything else on his mind. Now he wants to go back and play the original Pokemon games on it. Yeah, I mentioned using emulators on the Mac but he said no, he wants to play them on the original platforms. You guys get it, this is the equivalent of your son hitting a walk off hit to win the game. For this engineer who loves video games, it's pretty damn cool. So, anyone out there have any old Gameboy cartridges (even Color) that are just lying around? We'd be ESPECIALLY interested if you have ANY Pokemon Gameboy cartridges. I know it's a long shot here, since most of us are true hoarders... I took a quick search for a Gameboy Micro. HOLY CRAP those are expensive on ebay. IIRC, dschroll bought/kept one. Nice. If anyone has a GBA or GBA SP available, let me know. Maybe we can do a swap. I'm clearing out our PS3/PS4/Wii U library.

There you go. It's yours (Diego's) for free if you want it. Good luck on getting a GBA SP, they are awesome and I love mine. I'd check craigslist because they pop up quite often though GBA/SNES stuff has become pretty expensive lately. I am a game hoarder though (looks away in shame). But I have gotten much better in recent years. My gaming library for this current generation is pretty bare. I have two GBA micros (one all black and the Anniversary one), this picture was taken years ago when I was trying to play with my camera: And like a nerd I tried to get them all in there but that didn't turn out too good: Yep, still a dork, just more dorky in other ways now.

fatty, you rock. Sent you an email.
I do regret selling some of my old HW, granted I did it to upgrade.
I do have my OLD PSP, but mostly because it's hacked and I can't let it go.

Nice deal. I have recently been getting into older game hardware. I just love retro, what can I say? Good memory oldskool, I do have a Micro. I still love it honestly. It's the ultimate portable gaming system as it's so small and easily fits into a pocket, and plays some fantastic games. I tried to see if my daughter was interested in it, but she has no time for things without a touch screen I have a Micro, and an SP (not the backlit one, but the first front lit one). I also recently picked up an original Gameboy. Haven't played it much, but I plan to once we're on the East Coast. Fatty, you are too nice! I have never played a Pokemon game in my life. I keep debating if I want to try one, but have no idea on which one would be good to start with. I wouldn't mind playing one with my daughter as she has shown mild interest in Pokemon. You guys have any recommendations on a good entry level Pokemon game?
