Reaper, I am playing it on my DS lite through an EZ Flash V cart that goes through the GBA slot. That way I don't have to lug around the GBA games and I like the EZ Flash V because it actually loads the ROM onto the cart's memory so it is using the GBA functionality of the DS to play the game instead of emulating it like the DS flash cards do. Though I do love my DS Two flash card. dschroll, It is available on the Wii U console: www.nintendo.com/games/detail/metroid-zero-mission-wii-uBut don't watch the video if you want to avoid spoilers. I had to turn it off half way through because of all of the stuff I was seeing. But of what I saw, it was goooood. --- I'm stuck on the game where I just received the ice beam but can't figure out where to go. I am going to give in and refer to a guide. I used to avoid this if at all possible when I was younger, now I'm like "Oh, I spent enough time looking...off to gamefaqs".

Haha. I've played zero mission. I still have my gba cart and a gba sp and micro, so I'll play it on one of those devices but I've played through it and beat it at 100% already when it first came out. Fantastic game.
It's super metroid that I started and never finished....something I need to rectify soon.

I heard an update to this game was released to fix some bugs. Anyone know where I can snag this update?

There's a link to the forums right from the main project page with the status update.

Just started this game, using it in place of the original Metroid II on Gameboy for my Metroid series playthrough. I'm glad I did, it rocks! They basically took Metroid II and added the style / controls / graphics of Super Metroid mixed with Metroid Fusion / Zero Mission. It really is quite nice.

I realized when compiling the backlog stats that I never posted an update for this game. My take: a solid A, 9.5/10. Basically they used Metroid II as a starting point and then built an entirely new game from the ground up. If you are a Metroid fan you owe it to yourself to play this one, it is simply great. Even the soundtrack was exceptional - as a Metroid soundtrack fan myself I recognized themes from tons of previous Metroid games remixed and incorporated. Can't say enough about the quality of this game - it's an indictment of Nintendo that a fan could do this and Nintendo can't (or, more likely, won't).
I look forward to revisiting this one in the future on Hard (I did Normal difficulty). It will definitely replace Metroid II from now on in my series playthrough.

I know this is a Metroid thread, but figured I would post about a fan project on Mega Man. Looks pretty sweet!
