Curious if anyone is getting it? I was thinking about it but made the mistake of telling my daughter about it and she became obsessed with playing the game with me. So, I bought it as a digital download and installed it on 2 xboxes this morning. I started it up just to choose my character and walk around the world for one min. So no impressions from me yet but I am looking forward to it. I like the fact that it's a huge open world without all the pressure to level up all the time. Just looks like good cartoony fun. Plus it's great to see Rare making games again. So, I didn't mind supporting them. And on top of that, I get a cool coin for pre-ordering. Ha.

We had some time w/ it at PAX. Seemed like a cool game but didn't have much time to dig deep.

No XB1 for me, so will have to live through you on this one. Enjoy though. Looks pretty solid.

I have a Mac and it's primarily used for web surfing and whatnot. We don't typically game on it. My only other PC is for work and I don't use it for gaming either. So, I'm pretty much focused on game consoles or handhelds for my gaming fix. And honestly, with all the consoles/handhelds I've amassed over the last 2 years, I have more than enough games to keep be busy for several life times.

Well, last night was a bit of a non-starter for me and my daughter, Natalie, unfortunately. We spent the first 45 mins trying to get our accounts set up so we could play together. We had to get each other on our friends lists. I had to give the the ability to add a friend. I had to let her communicate with her friends on xbox live voice chat. All this was locked down. Then, when we finally got into a lobby together and could hear each other, I tried to launch the game and the servers were hosed. We pended for 25 mins through multiple trials and then gave up. After all that, I tried getting into a server alone and it worked. So, we took turns controlling my character and running around the island. She loved that part and was learning how to wave and dance and shoot the gun. I left the room for 5 mins and she got on my ship and crashed it into the island and sank it! LOL! She still seems excited about it but first impressions were plagued by launch day garbage. Hopefully next time will be better. I quit and spent time working and playing guitar but then went back to it before bed and decided to try to learn the mechanics. It took me a while but I think I now know how to start a voyage (mission). But I didn't want to do one without her... a sentiment I will likely get over at some point. But for now, I'd like to start the experience together. So, I decided to hop on my boat alone and just sail to some random location. I found a neat looking island and walked around on it... found some bananas and wooden planks. Then I sailed to a rocky island and sat around for a bit. Then I started sailing to another island and was struck by this sunset. So, I took a picture (see below). Finally, I was decided to do a dance on my boat while it was sailing... in the most dangerous spot possible. I pulled it off but at the end I fell in the water and my boat sailed away without me! LOLOL! It turns out you can scuttle your own ship an then respawn in it at the launch island. After that embarassing adventure, I discovered I had my cool black dog clothes (a preorder bonus) in chest in my ship. So I put them on and took this other pic below. My character is a chubby, inviting guy. Lot different than the muscular, thin guy I would typically pick. I have a question for anyone who has done crossbuy/play! So, I bought the game digitally and got a code that I used to download it to 2 xboxes. Using the "home console trick", I can let Natalie play on the old xbox since it is my home console and I play on my one x since I am signed in. So, here's the question though... the game says it is cross buy/play. I assume that means I could figure out some way to download it to my wife's PC and I could play there. But could my other daughter play there or is it tied to my BrickArmour account? It'd be cool to get 3 of us in the game under one purchase but I am assuming it won't let her join us with her gamertag. Any experience on this? Sunset picCharacter pic

Sea of Thieves! This was one of the best gaming moments I've had in a long time! Before you watch the video, I have to provide a little background. I had joined a Galleon with a crew of 4 and played with random drop ins all night. We were slow to make progress but by the end of the night we had some supplies such as crates, cannon balls and bananas. We found 3 barrels of explosive powder which we safely stored at the top of the crow's nest so if it was detonated, it would not damage our ship. We had accumulated a small amount of treasure... a seafarers chest, some skulls, etc. We hid it on the boat and sailed off to find more. But then it happened, we spotted a sloop and someone on the crew decided we should battle! We gave chase and they led us to an outpost where they unloaded their loot before we were on them. They then boarded their ship and the sloop circled us. The crew boarded us while we were busy firing on the boat. Their 2 man crew killed our 4 man crew before we knew what was happening. They ran our ship aground and started unloading loot since we happened to be right next to an outpost! I vowed revenge and looked for my crew but they had all abandoned me... I was alone. I climbed up a hill and hid with my sniper rifle... thinking I could at least irritate them if nothing else. Then it hit me... proximity chat. I could hear them which meant they could hear me. They had no idea I was alone so I attempted a trick. I spoke as if I were talking to my crew and I said: " I hope they don't find all that treasure we stored up in the crow's nest!" It worked perfectly and within seconds, one of theirs was climbing to the crows nest and 3 barrels of explosives. I lined up the shot and waited... Turn the audio up, watch to the end and listen to their commentary! LOL!Looks like you will need to copy/paste the link. 1drv.ms/v/s!AqdC8gy6bPQ9gVRy-jz5QZhxA-vC
