Why isnt there a thread on this game yet??? it matters not, i suppose, since im hererere to remedy this gross injustice.
anyway, i have the intro music stuck in my head right now. and images of singing ducks and dancing pandas. and mushrooms spawned from the glowing sparkly...umm...emmissions....of the King of the Cosmos.
be happy i dont have the time to search for and link an audio sample or a video....

Tell me about this game. It looks fun and funny from the videos I've seen. I was super excited to see it on demo at BlockBuster last night. But as I tried to do anything, my character walked around the ball as if he was stuck to it. I couldn't get him to push the ball, jump or do anything other and move around the ball.
What do you do? I'd like to try it again at BB if I go back to pre-order Halo.

you'll use both sticks to move the ball itself - both sticks in the same direction, that is. both up to go forward, both left to go left, both right for right.
you have to start small, but...eventually, anything and everything you see can be picked up. its like crack or lsd without all that annoying brain damage.

i don't own a ps2 anymore, not enough time and not enough games i really consider worth my time playing them. i don't doubt there are some great ones out there, but even the xbox and gamecube are fairing the same issues. there have recently been some awsome games on cube and in all honestly i have little reason to even bother owning an xbox as well, but I might as well keep it around to mod it. other than that I'm feeling a bit burned out and need a change of pace. that's why I'm looking at you DS!! YES YOU!

I'm so with you on this game. There's just something amazingly gratifying about rolling over that stupid cat that kept kicking you around just a few minutes ago.. and then coming back for the whole house and eventually the whole island later. The music has been stuck in my head for a while. If anyone finds someplace to grab the soundtrack, I will first love you and then curse you and then love you again.

Yeah, this game is definitely charming. I can't say I've fallen in love with it like some have. However, the soundtrack does totally rule. And for some reason, after I play it, I walk down the street and see everything in terms of potentially being picked up by a rolling ball.
I applaud Namco for having the balls to bring this to North America. I'd buy games like this over FPS #5236 any day of the week.

If anyone finds someplace to grab the soundtrack, I will first love you and then curse you and then love you again. i bet that'd get pretty sticky, not to mention a bit chafed.

Come to think of it; i'd contribute to the stickychafiness if one could find both this and the F-Zero GX soundrack.
just finished star #9 last night. man was that fun. the fiance can't grasp the controls, so doesnt like to play, which in turn makes me sad.
unbelieveable that she made it through Alice all by herself; but couldnt play this.

I also think this is a great game (hence my icon thingie over there). It's so much fun because it's so different than anything else out there. I've gotten through all the stars, but I still need to go back to unlock some stuff and I still have a few presents left to get. I also thought that the difficulty level on the game was good as well. It's simple, so it's pretty easy, however, there are some levels that are challenging. To get everything unlocked in the game is also a good challenge. If you haven't gotten this one already, I also suggest that you pick it up. Clio P.S. Don't give Pyramus the soundtrack...please I like the songs, but to have to hear them all the time....I don't know about that.

Yeah, I will chime in and say this game is fantastic. It is probably one of the strangest, and most unique games I've ever played. I haven't played it much lately since I've been so preoccupied with other things, but I will get back to it soon enough. Definitely a great game and I highly recommend to any PS2 owner out there looking for something completely fresh and new. Its only $20, so there's no excuse.
