HA! Rachel Bislon is on the cover of my new GQ. To me, she's more wholesome girl next door vs all out hot. BUT, I ain't complaining.

It's been a bit so I figured it's a good time for an update: Movies/Television: Not really too much since the season finale of The Office. Great episode though. I was cracking up with the segments of the new HR lady interacting with Kevin since he was "special". I was watching an older episode and the funny thing is that Kevin acts exactly the same so he being mistaken as mentally challenged set up perfectly. Holly: Hey Kevin. Kevin: Hi. H: Do you need some help? K: I can't decide what to get. H: Well what do you like to eat? K: Well, I like pretzels... BUT... I really like chips. H: Well how much money do you have there? (Kevin holds out hand) H: OK, let's see... 50... This is a button (holds it up to his face)... OK you have 75 cents. So that means you could get anything up in the top row. K: Hmmm. **Jumps to Kevin talking to the camera** K: I am totally gonna bang Holly! Also late but caught this season's Survivor. So many ridiculous moves, esp. with Eric giving his immunity idol to the girl, after repeatedly seeing what they did to the other men in the previous weeks. The women seriously outplayed the men this season, and made them look silly doing it. But Amanda made it to the end so I was alright with how things transpired. I will watch Heroes whenever it does come back on but I haven't been missing it. I have been missing Chuck. I miss the women on Chuck. Well, there is also the season finale of Lost coming up but this season hasn't lived up to the first two. Season 3 was the worst because they were just introducing new characters whose only purpose was to drag out the story. I've gotten the same vibe this season but not as bad (though the flashback with the Ghostbuster spirit interaction machine was pretty tacky). Season 3 ended great so I'm hoping season 4's finale gets things moving again. There is also Hell's Kitchen and the many different faces of Matt: I'll get to games a little bit later.

I've been a Survivor fan for a while and I'd say this was probably one of the worst season. There was no one to like. The chicks were just bitter and the guys were only thinking w/ one brain... Hate to admit that I actually spent 2 weeks of my life years ago putting together my 3 minute demo tape for Survivor... I never heard back but it was fun doing it. The wife and I also sent in tape for Amazing Race but we don't have enough drama to make interesting TV. My cousin did make it as an alternate to Survivor Africa though.
BSG is getting very interesting. I'm still wondering who the last Cylon is, I have a guess but who knows. Great writing for sure.
Yes, I miss Chuck. But I think Reaper fills the gap for a while.
Started watching Dexter, never had Showtime before. Interesting concept, will definitely continue to watch.
I LOVED the finale of Office. There were parts that had me on the floor, including the whole Kevin thing.

Watched the Bones finale. Whoa, now THAT is something out of left field. Good finale.

That would have been great to see you on Survivor. I actually liked watching this season because the guys were thinking with one brain and it was funny to see them falling over themselves like that.
Oh and I forgot about Dexter. I don't have Showtime either so I was catching it on CBS. Very interesting show and I hope that CBS will show season 2 as well. I was a little disappointed with the finale though.

I LOVED this season of Survivor. First of all, any season that has Amanda in it is a WIN imo. That is one of the most attractive women eva! Secondly, the blindsides were awesome... especially the one with Amanda having the idol. So cool.
Right now, I am watching "So You Think You Can Dance", "Last Comic Standing" and Season 4 of "Battlestar Galactica".

Fortunately CBS already committed to the airing the next season of Dexter. WOO HOO! Yeah, that was a little too easy of an ending. But it'd be hard to close it any other way, since the other cop was getting suspicious.
Also, HBO has some good movies for June so my Tivo is getting filled w/ some HD movies. FF Silver Surfer, Harry Potter, Knocked Up, I'm primed for the summer.

I'm glad future Survivors will be in HD. This is something I've been waiting for for a while.
I still love Lost. Season finale was very involving tonight, as usual. Every episode of that show drips with production values.* Watching it in HD on the big screen is like movie night every week, and the score from Giacchino is amazing (I have the first two CDs). I can't wait for the last two seasons ... it will be sad when it's over, but that seems like a good length. Hopefully by the end of the run all the seasons will be out on Blu-Ray (only 3 is right now, 4 due in December) ... then I can start all over, but in even better-than-cable-HD video & audio. Ah, Lost.
* Watching some of the making-of featurettes on the season sets really blows me away as far as the amount of people involved and the effort put into even minor details on this show (they bought and made over an entire house for one flashback!). With the landscape of TV being what it is, I highly doubt we'll see something comparable for quite a while.

I'm watching Lost as well but not so excited about it. It is fun/interesting but I get sick of knowing nothing about what is going on.

You'll get used to Lost in terms of how they show reveals things. I found it frustrating at first as well because for every one question they answer, they have you asking 5 more. The seasonfinale was great IMO and was one of the best episodes this season. Personally, I think season 4 is the second best season in the show with season 1 taking top honors. Seasons 2 and 3 just didn't do much for me.
I love BSG as well and its one of my favorite shows. I can't wait to see what happens tonight. I hope they don't split the 4th season up like they have in the past...
Other shows I am excited to watch as they are coming back soon are Psych, Monk and Burn Notice. I am most excited about Heroes and I hear one of the episodes will be titled "Villains" so that should be cool. I am also excited about Chuck as well. My favorite sitcom currently is How I Met your Mother, which I think Neil Patrick Harris is hilarious. There was even a reference in the show on Doogie Howser, which cracked me up.
I love the Office, but this season has been a huge disappointment for me save for the season finale. I agree, the season finale was really good and that bit with Kevin was priceless. But the rest of the season has just been meh to me. The humor has more of an awkwardness to it and it doesn't tickle my funny bone the way seasons 2 and 3 did.
In terms of gaming, I'm still working on Okami whenever I get some time. I play Wii Fit here and there along with some Marion Kart as well. Maybe we should have a Wii Fit contest to see who can make the most progress by a certain date? Or perhaps in the mini games like the ski jump.
School just started up for me this week. Taking accounting this time. Its ok so far. Summer sessions are accelerated, so we get a ton of homework and basically have a day to do it. So, that's going to definitely eat into my gaming time. The class doesn't seem to be all that bad so far and fairly useful in terms of better understanding terms I was never all that familiar with.
I recently sold a few games on ebay and would like to get through Okami and at least one other game before I buy any more games. I'm thinking GTA4 will be the next game I buy when I do get one.

I agree, it's time for a WiiFit challenge. W/ the holiday, Lost and getting sick this week, my Wii has just sat there blinking blue at me. A group challenge w/ a date would be good. Maybe even a high score per type of challenge, say on balance games, yoga or similar.
I was excited about Lost last night but it wasn't a lot of closure, as usual. For 2 hours, I didn't get much answered, but more questions. They've got 2 years to answer my damn questions. And they better hurry cause Walt is going to get older...
Love Monk and Psych. Wonder what will happen on Monk now that his doctor died (in real life) recently. LOVE Psych for those 80's flashbacks, that kind of humor kills me. I wish Rescue Me had a schedule though. 30 Days starts up again as well.
My wife watches a lot of Deadliest Catch but I only watch cuz we get it in HD now...

Interesting. Didn't know that his doctor died in real life. Well, it will be interesting to see what they do with it.

I watch Monk as well although I am not "caught up". I am going through old seasons on DVD. No hurry since there is no ongoing story there really.
I've been watching Lost since the beginning. so, I don't think I am going to suddenly "get used to it". I watch it and enjoy it but do get sick of the constant mystery.

This weekend I saw Blade Runner for the first time and King of Kong: Fistful of quarters on G4.
The version of Blade Runner I watched was the final cut. Interesting story and although I liked it I'm not quite seeing all of the praise that it received. It is impressive to see Ridley Scott's vision of the future pan out somewhat but the main story I found lacking. Yeah, there are neat undertones like [25 year old spoiler] if Deckar is a replicant or human[/spoiler] and I liked Roy (Rutgar Hauer) as the bad guy but the main story and pace was just kinda blah.
Watching the special features and listening to the background about how the movie was initially received made me enjoy and appreciate the movie a little more. I'm definitely in the camp that prefers the movie without the voice overs and 'happy ending'.

The online one is a bit different. Seems to combine both books. The real books are worth reading. Can't take more than an hour or so.

where do you guys get the time to watch all this stuff?
i just finished (literally last night) the 3rd season of Always Sunny in Philly.
been playing through this indie game called Knytt (and its expansion Knytt Stories). i've only got a handful of stars left to grab in Mario Galaxy, still have a bit of unlocking to do in Mario Kart, am probly a third of the way through PA adventures, and almost nearly started doing the expert drums single player in Rock Band. Assassin's Creed is still in its wrapper along with a dozen others....
