I can't say I'm dying to pay just for the look of Animal Crossing but I can't say I'm dying to buy Starfox.
But, I did realize I have a Target Red card so that might seal the deal. That is if I can find the DAMN card.

I'm really enjoying super Mario 3-D land. You might want to consider getting that one too.

1st world decisions. XL is on sale for $20 off at Target. Should I wait until June to get the $219 Animal Crossing version or just get the red one for $179 and then also use the Club promo to get a free Starfox game? I really like the looks of Animal Crossing but seems like a better value to get the Target/Club combo now. I suppose I can just skin the XL if I want something 'different'. Thoughts? If you want re-sale value ... go with the AC themed one. I personally like the Luigi themed one and think the AC one looks too much like a pair of panties (;-)) Jay

Couldn't resist. Got the red one on my Target card. Got the Pokemon 3D for my son's bday so that gets us one more free, possibly Starfox since that's only one I like. mynintendonews.com/2013/04/22/register-three-select-nintendo-3ds-games-and-get-a-fourth-game-free/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitterI'm going to get Animal Crossing so that leaves the decision to get either LEGO (which we have on the Wii) or Luigi (which is probably what we will do to mix it up). I also had to do the 3DS transfer to my XL. It was a bit confusing because I thought I lost my 4 Swords until I realized I had to use Data Management to pull it off the SD card. I have to say, the process has made me continue to realize that N's online strategy is a POS. I can only keep my data/VC stuff on ONE 3DS?!?!? Are you fucking kidding me? I buy stuff on the iOS App store and I can download it to all my iPhones and iPads. I know N is trying manage their content but this is ridiculous. OK, I get it, you can't play the same game on multiple DSes but you can require both to be online and have only one version playable, I'll accept that. Also, put the damn saves in the cloud. Shit, Broken Sword on iOS lets you put the saves in Dropbox, you mean you can't do that on an N game that costs 5x more?!?!

That link is blocked for me, is that for North America? Only thing I'm seeing from searches is that it is a promotion for Europe.

Starting from tomorrow (23rd April) Nintendo Europe will be launching the So Many Games! Promotion on a select range of top Nintendo 3DS titles to help them choose.

Meh...Luigi's Mansion is the only one I'd have on that list. Speaking of which, I just finished Luigi's Mansion this weekend. Very cool game. Really well done. Console quality IMO. This is a game that honestly I'd prefer on the Wii U as it was such a blast to play on a portable that I can only imagine how much more it could've been on a console.

I can agree with you on the console idea for LM2 but for a different reason. When I play it, I usually play for 45m-1hr. For me, that length of time is better suited to a couch than a handheld.
BTW, I've been really having fun with Zelda Spirit Tracks. Glad I got another chance to enjoy this one.

My son decided yesterday (after I bought it...) that he didn't want Pokemon but LEGO City 3DS instead. Phew, I don't really like those games... I got LEGO at Target today but they were out of Luigi. Apparently in the whole Bay Area, there was 1 store with 1 copy. Wow, didn't realize it was that popular.

Been playing Spirit Tracks on my 3ds. One thing that makes it better than skyward sword is that I can zip thru text about as fast as I can tap the screen. SS did not let me read as fast. Overall really enjoying the game.

Interesting. I got my son the LEGO City for the 3DS and we've been playing it this past week. Good game, along the same lines as LEGO City WiiU, set up more as a prequel and you see the same environments, so I applaud the consistency. You know what's also consistent? The FUCKING LOAD TIMES. Wow, it's just as slow on the 3DS. I don't think the LEGO City WiiU load times are wholly the WiiU's fault, I honestly think it's however TT coded it...

My daughter is all over it. She wants to play it all the time, even though she can't read and has no idea what to do. I think she just likes the cute little animals and wants to get different hair styles.
