Yeah, looks like I might be better off finding another Wiimote Plus deal. Then I'd have 4 black for the Wii U and 2 white for the Wii.

I started to play the demo so I could figure out whether to open the game. I'm torn. The game scares the shit out of me, not sure if I can play this before going to bed at night...

I also have this game and I'm having the same issues. Although ... I think i'm going to open it up and start playing this week.

I migrated everything over to the Wii U, so now the Wii is basically just a GameCube player and emulation machine (Hacked). I only kept one Wiimote controller sycned with the Wii. This rest are for the Wii U.
By the way ... re-downloading all the VC content for the Wii mode on Wii U is a pain!

buddy of mine came by over the holiday break, and brought his WiiU.
ZombieU is nearly a system-seller for me. come Rev2, or a price drop, i'm probably in.

Looking forward to it.
9am my time.
On Iwata's twitter account ... he posted a picture of himself holding some bananas, so maybe Mario Kart or Donkey Kong Country.

I just finished the video. I missed the beginning. No surprise in that they are developing a new 3D mario game and a mario kart game. They announced a new title similar to Kirby's Epic Yarn but with Yoshi as a main character. That looked good graphically but not really innovative or exciting otherwise. They are re-doing The Wind Waker with HD graphics and support for MiiVerse. Again, it looked nice but I'd not want to replay that game myself. My kids might enjoy it. They mentioned a new Zelda game but had nothing to show yet. They talked about how the new Zelda game may not be linear and it may allow another player to play with you. Then there were a few very anime looking games that weren't interesting to me. Was it Fire Emblem? Overall, I wasn't too excited by anything I saw or heard. Anyone else?

In case you missed it ... here is a breakdown of stuff they talked about ...
Miiverse is cool and they will add new features coming in a spring update. VC coming to Wii U. Initial titles are NES and SNES games. They will be playable on pad only. Miiverse integration as well. If you are buying them new ... same pricing as the Wii. They are offering upgrade pricing if you already have transferred them from the Wii. Upgrade is a buck a game. Wonderful 101 is coming to all regions ... looks weirdly wonderful. They are working with other development shops and bringing other minor franchises over to the Wii U ... starting with Fire Emblem. Nintendo will show new Mario game from same team as Galaxy at E3. Also ... the will show new Mario Kart game at E3. New Wii U party game similar to Wii Party. You will be able to use Miiverse and such to share your efforts in Wii Fit.
... and lastly ... two Zelda games coming. First one is new and will be co-op enabled and non linear. No screens or footage shown. Second zelda game is HD re-make of Windwaker. Footage shown. Graphics and gameplay will be updated. Looks fantastic.

I was more happy with this Nintendo Direct than I think their last 5 combined. FINALLY they have some new stuff to talk about.
1) Spring and Summer update to fix many issues with current Wii U OS in terms of loading times. Good deal. Much more excited about Wii U now, but will likely wait until after these updates before jumping in.
2) VC support for Wii U gamepad. Awesome. Makes perfect sense. Sucks that you have to essentially pay for the upgrade as this should just be included IMO. I think had Nintendo better mapped out its digital strategy, it wouldn't have to dedicate as much resources to redoing content for Wii U as they now have to. That being said, the fees are relatively nominal. However, I'm disappointed that they're not adjusting their VC prices. Now that we're in a new generation, I think VC games should decrease in price as they're now that much older(not less good, but still, their perceived value has decreased). NES games should now be $3 and SNES games $5.
3) Windwaker remake looks gorgeous. HOpefully won't be full price. I'm definitely interested in playing again with updated visuals.
4) New Zelda, Mario, and MK. We all knew they were coming, but its good N finally announced it. Very exciting.
I totally see me getting a Wii U this year some time....preferably after a price drop or something.

I was more happy with this Nintendo Direct than I think their last 5 combined. FINALLY they have some new stuff to talk about. In my mind the whole thing felt kind of rushed and out of character for Nintendo. I think they needed to respond to the drought of games post launch, but when was the last time Nintendo announced games without even a screenshot of progress? At one point we were told there would be a OS update to increase the functionality of TVii by the end of January. I wonder if that is still coming? Either way ... I'm really glad to hear that they are planning on speeding things up. Well ... I think the price they announced will be for the VC launch games. As we have seen on the 3DS, they have been more variable in pricing after launch. I think the same will happen with the Wii U. I'm also surprised they they haven't even mentioned N64 or GameCube games for VC, but mentioned that GBA are coming down the road. Should be an exciting E3!

I 'caved' and got the Cave last night for Wii U. I struggled whether to get for Steam so I could play on my Macs but I wanted to add to my Wii U library. Also got the Balloon Fight. Yeah, it's worth $0.30...
Project 101 is a great title. After playing it last year, it's def a must buy for me. Just kinda pissed that Jan/Feb are game drought months.

Let us know what you think of The Cave. It's local co-op right? I am thinking about playing it with 2 of my kids.

Let us know what you think of The Cave. I'm probably going to download it today. Balloon Fight is WAY more fun in Nintendo Land, but the VC version is worth 30 cents I'd say. Agree. What is your Wii U id? ... I'd like to add you as a friend.
