Why order now when Black Friday is so close? I told one of my co workers to hold off because you know there will be crazy deals come Black Friday. My point exactly. Why you ask? Because I have a 10 YO son who's been working his butt off doing chores and selling his LEGOs (not Star Wars of course...) to fund a PS4 that he wanted. I told him that we already have a ton of games/consoles at home so if he wanted a PS4, he had to figure how to buy it on his own w/o emptying his bank account. He wanted to buy it a few weeks ago and told him to wait until BF but he was so excited once he passed the $600 mark. I tried my damnedest to get him to wait but he was too anxious. I explained that Xbox was offering bundles and that at some point Sony would too. I pointed to the PS4 drop in Japan. He still wanted it. I follow CAG and other game sites on twitter to monitor price drops and told him. I finally got him to agree to wait for the Star Wars bundle from B&H since it was tax free. I had to explain taxes to him... I even said I'd pay the extra $50 so we could get the Darth Vader one. Then the $50 GC started coming last week starting w/ Destiny. Last Thursday, I gave him $5 he made to add to his envelope. He left it on the breakfast table before school and told him to put it away before he lost it. 10 min later he biked to school then came back, because he wanted to check if he put the money away. It wasn't there. He lost $600 in 10 min. I told him to go to school and keep an eye in case he put it in his backpack. For the next 48 hours, we turned the entire house over and couldn't find the money ANYWHERE. None of could figure out what happened and how he could lose the envelope in 10 minutes and only moved about 50' from table. By Sat, we figured it was lost and if we found it, so be it. Otherwise, he had to figure a plan B to start making more money. Sunday morning we're about to go out. I take a look where his money usually goes and tried to think like a mind-wandering 10 YO who gets easily distracted. I looked in drawers underneath the stash place. No luck. I had an idea to look behind the drawers in case it fell behind the drawers, requiring me to pull them. Lo and behold, I found it. Suffice to say, the whole house was relieved. At that point, it was probably best to just buy it because I didn't want to go through that again. Sunday night, the Destiny bundle comes up on Target and I buy it, since we get $50 GC and 5% off. Of course, after that, more bundles come, prices drop and then the official drop comes. We also watched vids and figure out neither of us actually like Destiny and we'd prefer Uncharted. I convinced him to go w/ that and here we are. It arrives next week, so that gives us time to get the price drop but ALSO have the $50 GC in play. So hopefully we end up at $300. Can we wait for deals on BF? I can but he can't...

Wait a second, "Target has shipped my Uncharted PS4"? Excuse me? I think that is your son's bundle. Maybe he'll let you use it some time.

Well, technically, it's my REDcard and he hasn't transferred the cold hard cash into my hands.

Friend went in-store to see if you could price match and get GC. They told him either/or.
I checked online policy and they do price match w/ in 14 days. But the fine print ends in 'Some exclusions apply.' Shit, of course, they added that.
Oh well, it shipped along w/ the GC so when it arrives, I'll be on the phone w/ Target to see what they can do.

Good story oldskool. I get it now. Kids are impatient. Still, looks like you may end up getting a BF'esque deal in the end. Good luck man.
Enjoy Uncharted. Loved all 3 of those games, but the second was my personal favorite.

1) Holy shit, the graphics are pretty insane compared to PS3 and Wii U (natch).
2) I played a little of Batman. Yup, as I suspected, I SUCK at FPS and I die anytime I'm required to fight multiple enemies. I made it to the 1st 'tank' battle w/ the Tumbler and my aiming is so awful that I got frustrated from dying so much that I had to lay it down for a while.
3) Uncharted is actually a pretty good game. Aside for the opening gameplay on the boat, the updated graphics hold up well. I actually like this game because although I do die a lot, I don't feel as shamed as I do in Batman...
4) My son wanted Rocket League so I played a few rounds. Crap, I suck at that too.
We also got Wooly World this weekend. OK, that's more my speed...

I wanted to like the first Mirrors Edge so bad, but I just couldn't get into it, mostly because I felt it was so challenging doing platforming in a first person perspective. I remember being chased by these bad guys and you were supposed to run away and jump off this ledge at a certain time. For the life of me, I could never get it. I kept falling to my death over and over again. At some point I just gave up and traded in the game as it stopped being fun after the 25th try.

That's too bad. It was one of my top games on 360. Loved it... gave a real rush of free running through a city and the graphical style was beautiful.

Vibrating with excitement. I spent so much damn time in those time trials, not that you could tell by any of my damn scores.

Another one of the games on my list looks to be getting good reviews.
May have to grab this one.

Yep. That one looks good. Along with Unravel, which I am also interested in. Man, I need to get back into gaming. This whole moving to the East Coast thing is monopolizing my attention at home.

I noticed Firewatch on a slight sale on Steam. They're also have a Chinese New Year sale on a ton of titles. So far, nothing tickled my fancy.

PS4 has a theme along with the game that looks pretty good. It changes based on the time of day you are using your PS4.

I can't find anything on the PS Store about Fire Watch. Where did you find the theme and such? How much is the game going to cost? I'm definitely interested. Looks great.
I also am interested in the Witness, but not for $40. Hoping that one goes way down in price.

The theme pics were found on neogaf. The game is supposed to be $19.99 with a discount on the first day of $2 I think. I agree, I can't find it on the store right now. Hrmmm.
