I would probably agree w/ most of the reviews after trying all 3 VR versions last month. TBH, I'll NEVER own a PC rig, I just don't have the time/desire to spend on buying one, frankly console, HH and tablets are where most of my gaming happens.
I'll admit that the resolution is less. I don't recall the screen door effect on the other platforms, so I guess it doesn't bother me. I can see the argument for the horsepower but as we know from N, it comes down to games. I think that's where Sony 'can' be stronger.
Knowing that smaller devs like Double Fine felt strongly enough to create a Psychonauts version for the VR is enough for me to jump in. Granted, Sony is probably my only option.

You may have my amazon pre-order if you want it. If so I will have to see if I can change the shipping address. If not, you'd have to pay what I paid amazon plus my shipping charges to you. Let me know.

It is the full bundle, yes. I suppose you don't really care which one you get.. best buy pre order or amazon. Send me your info and I'll see what's easier to switch.

Cesar, let me know if everything works out with reaper. Otherwise, I'm canceling my pre order with Best Buy. It doesn't seem there's any "must have" game on the PS VR and given the $500+ bundle doesn't even come with any games, I just can't justify spending that much on hardware I'll likely play with for a few hours and then shelve for months waiting for something better to come out.

Well, I made the mistake of going to a local Best Buy to check out a demo of the PS VR before I decided to cancel. I did a demo of the Batman VR game. Suffice it to say, I will NOT be canceling my pre order now and cannot wait to jump back into VR some more

HA!
My son's been bugging to get various games and I warn him that he may not like them. So, we ended up w/ a Gamefly account. Planning to use that to try the PS VR games.
So far we've rented No Man's Sky (which my friend ended up gifting me, actually better than I thought it would be but not worth buying full price), Killing Joke and Fallout 4. He wanted to buy Fallout and suggested using Gamefly. I actually have Paper Mario on the Q but it wasn't available to rent till today.

Isn't Killing Joke a movie? I watched it and it was pretty terrible with the creative direction they gave the movie. The book its based on is far far superior.

Yeah, we can rent BR on Gamefly w/ the same account.
Yeah, I was more hopeful but it was 'ok'. I read the graphic novel a while ago and agree w/ your assessment.

That works for me Dave. Nice fatty! I did a remodel in 2009 and I'll be honest, that was hardest thing I've done in my life. I will NEVER go through that again. Hope everything goes as smooth as it can. AND I hope your man cave has been properly designed/incorporated. Along w/ your garage gym for that Rogue Fitness rig. Don't forget Rogue Black Friday, EVERYTHING ships for $5, including rigs, weights, etc. EVERYTHING for $5, best deal ever for the day after Thanksgiving... Thanks oldskool! With what I'm learning it is like I am drinking out of a fire hose, it also doesn't help that I have been super busy at work. Today was actually the first vacation day I've taken this year. Need to take three weeks worth or I will lose ithem and that is not happening. Garage gym is definitely going to happen! I will be visiting Rogue Fitness for that sale, thanks for the heads up!

I bought the Astro a50 this week. I went for the PS4 version because I like the more subtle color scheme. My plan is to buy the XBO base when Astro starts selling those separately. That way I can use the same headset on both systems. I hope the base is $50 but I am guessing $100 which is painful but tolerable. If it ends up being $150, I will be a bit upset. That seems to be too much. I thought I'd jot down a few thoughts on the headset since I had some time to try it out last night. Sound Quality: The sound quality of the headphones is great in my opinion. The headphones offer three built in equalizer settings. These can be tweaked on a PC if desired but for now I am just using the built in settings. I think the default equalizer selection sounds kind of like my A40s in default mode. It is likely the pro setting that is fairly flat for competitive gaming. Setting 2 seemed to have more bass and seem warmer to me. I found that I liked that the best and left it there for now. I played some Resogun and Dark Souls 3 with it and really enjoyed it. I also did some work and used the PS4 to stream Spotify to my desk while working and that sounded great. Comfort: I had the headphones on for hours last night. I am embarrassed to say it was likely about 4 hours. I had no issue with it. The weight and fit are fine. Didn't bother me at all. I even forgot I had them on at one point. The fact that there are absolutely no wires seems like a small thing to me but I LOVE it. I can move from gaming to working without any change. I can walk to the bathroom without even taking the headset off and still mostly hear what's is going on. Walls kind of corrupted the signal a bit but it kept working in general. Mic: I read online about some people being unhappy with the mic. I tested it by recording a messing on PSN and sending it to a friend. We both thought it sounded excellent. I have no issue with it. Overall, I love it and can't wait to get the XBO base and use it on that system as well!

Thanks reaper. How much did the set cost?

It's $300. That's their new flagship product. If you want one of their older products with fewer features, you can get a better price. For me, removing the wires was worth the price. I spent my birthday money from last July on these . Totally worth it. If you're sick of wires and setting up a headset on game night, this is for you. First world problems I suppose.

No lie, not sure I can play RE7. I'm still in the guest house and I'm relegated to playing w/ no VR and in the daytime. I get too freaked out.
I got a jump scare and screamed loud enough that my wife came in and gave me the same look we give our 11 YO when he's playing online w/ his friends.

HAHA. Yeah, I can't do horror games these days....the only time I get to play games is during the late evening hours and I just can't have those images in my head right before going to bed.
