Finished G.G. Series Black X Block. An insanely difficult puzzle game (at least hard mode, the easy / normal modes were pretty fun). Took me about 15 hours to finish the last 10 (hard) levels.

Sweet, someday I'll start my Batman series playthrough... very little time lately for console gaming.

Finished Arkham Knight on PS4 last night. Completed all side quests and got the best ending. Awesome awesome game! I got burnt out after the Arkham Knight reveal but I just 100%'d the Batgirl DLC yesterday and that was pretty cool.

Finished Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds. Really good game, it's sad that I only just now got around to playing it. I completed everything possible, including the street pass achievements. Will probably complete Hero mode at some point since it was an enjoyable enough game to play through again soon.

I 100% the batgirl DLC and the Harley DLC and the Scarecrow levels. Everything was good, but not nearly long enough.

Finally beat Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Fun game, well-done sequel.

Finished Shovel Knight. What a great game. Highly highly recommend if you like those old school looking/sounding 16 bit games. Loved the music. Controls were super tight. Levels were challenging but not in a "this game cheats" way. You felt good when you beat a level but at the same time not so frustrated that you wanted to give up. This game is definitely worth your time and money.

I did the first 2 levels of Shovel Knight a while back but have yet to get back to it. It takes longer to get to my Wii U backlog as I'm usually playing my 3DS on the go more often. Once I finish Pushmo World, though, I'll probably try to continue Shovel Knight. Thanks for the reminder!

I definitely want to play Shovel Knight. Another game that has a retro look that I played last week was TowerFall Acension with three of my friends. Has a very quick learning curve and is great for 2 vs 2 games. Think of it along the same line of the type of game like a Bomberman or Rocket League. if you can get some friends over to game together I really recommend it. And I also mentioned Rocket League, that was free on PS Plus. Play that too! Both games are great party games.

Finished Red Hood pack on Arkham Knight. Again, same verse as the first, fun gameplay but way too short. Lasts 30 minutes tops. I guess I can't expect more than that for $2, but was hoping there would be more story to the game than just doing a few combat missions.

Finished God of War on PS3. Second time playing the game. Still holds up well overall given it was a PS2 port, but I forgot a couple of sections that are crazy brutal and I swore a lot at the TV while playing through them Also downloaded the 1989 Batmobile and race tracks for Arkham Knight. Played through the couple of race tracks. I still love the original Tim Burton Batmobile and listening to the score from the movie while racing on some tracks inspired by the movie was pretty sweet.

Finished Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures for GameCube. I'd never played through it before, and was able to with my brother and daughter, which was pretty sweet. I even bought a used GBA off ebay to allow 3 players! Some confusing puzzles along the way, but it was definitely fun. Nearing the end of my Zelda series playthrough, Wind Waker and the two DS games left (if I can get the DS emulator usable on our PC).

Four Swords was a blast when playing with others. I did so back in the day and we had a lot of fun all trying to catch more loot than the other person.

Not sure if this counts towards my backlog or not, but I went to an old school arcade today (www.gallopingghostarcade.com) for my bday and played a bunch of games there, finishing a few. X-Men arcade game, Golden Axe, Moonwalker, and the Star Wars Trilogy arcade game. I could easily have stayed longer as they have some great games I've been wanting to play, but had to get going to meet my family for dinner. This is a cool little dive that I plan on spending more time at going forward

Finished Majora's Mask today on the 3DS. I normally never use a game guide for a Zelda game, but decided I would with this game as there are so many side quests and I wanted to do them all. I did what I could and would turn to the guide if I were stuck on something. I was glad I had it as some of those side quests were definitely not clear to me in terms of where I needed to go and when. Still, overall it was a solid Zelda game. I'm still not a fan of the clock thing because I like taking my time with dungeons to explore every nook and cranny. Having to crank through a dungeon, rescue every fairy along the way, and still make it to the boss in time before the 3 days were up would sometimes be a challenge on the first time through. Also, took my daughter to the arcade I went to a couple weeks back. We played a bunch of games while there and managed to finish1942 and Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder, and the Simpsons Arcade game. She especially took a shine to some Simpsons Bowling game that she couldn't seem to get enough of. There was a Nightmare on Elm St. pinball game there that just creeped the heck out of her because it had a Freddy Krueger upper torso with head and arms draping across the top of the machine as a decoration. She was quite terrified of it

You can finish 1942?!? I didn't even know it had an end...

You can finish 1942?!? I didn't even know it had an end... It doesn't as far as I can tell. We played all the various stages and it just seemed like it started over as it had us playing in a city we already beat the first time through. I just assumed it was over and had started over. My daughter was ready to move on either way. That's the hard part with these button masher arcade games...my kid doesn't quite enjoy them the way I do and her enthusiasm to mash buttons as fast as she can wears out after about 30 seconds. She and I did manage to beat the X-Men arcade game, but we did that at home on the 360 along with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game.

HAHA. I'm impressed dschroll. When I was a kid, I don't think I ever played a game to completion.
