Yeah, that looks useful. Whenever I get a Switch this will probably me my secondary dock of choice.

Nice! I think I'd have to get an arcade stick for it though. But this is definitely tempting...

Switch in stock at Amazon (for Prime members) for those still wanting one. I'm still holding out for a bundle later in the year.

Anyone else here playing Splatoon 2? Man, I thought for sure that I wouldn't get into this game as I played the heck out of the Wii U game and this version seemed like it was Splatoon 1.5.Well, I don't know what Nintendo did, but it absolutely has the same magic as the first game. I can't get enough of this game and play it all the time. It plays fantastic on the Switch, especially with the Pro controller.
But, as you know, we can't mention Nintendo without complaining about something. In this case, it's with the new mode Nintendo added, Salmon run. This is basically a horde mode where you team up with other players to defend an area. Don't get me wrong, the mode itself is fantastic and an absolute blast to play. My complaint is that Nintendo doesn't let us access Salmon Run 24/7. Nope, in usual Nintendo fashion, they want to take something seemingly simple and make it complicated. With Salmon Run, apparently its only available to play on certain days at certain times. WTF? Seriously?!? Your online game can only be played during certain windows. Seriously...how did anyone at Nintendo think this was a good idea?

Went to PAX w/ my boy this weekend. GREAT time. When I get a chance, I'll write up my thoughts and what we hit up.
We hit the Nintendo Minute panel for Metroid 3DS, a few Nintendo panels, FINALLY got to get a fast pass to play Metroid AND Odyssey, and hit a bunch of Nindie titles in the Nindie area. FINALLY the devs were able to show their titles on the main floor which was VERY cool to see. Some of these indie titles are VERY good, the SW backlog is looking very promising.

Nintendo Direct coming this Wednesday: Tune in Sept. 13 @ 3pm PT for a new Nintendo Direct featuring upcoming #NintendoSwitch and #3DS titles. bit.ly/2vUtUi8Any predictions by anyone? I predict Nintendo will use this as an opportunity to announce the discontinuation of the SNES Classic. Why bother waiting for the product to release? Let's just save some time and discontinue it before it's even hit store shelves

That's awesome! Still don't have a Switch, but I do have a GameCube adapter and a bunch of GC controllers. Very cool.

When you THOUGHT you pre-ordered Odyssey and didn't. ARGH.
Oh well, full price it is.

I pre-ordered mine through Best Buy, and I don't even have a system to play it on! I will eventually ... in the meantime, I get to gaze longingly at the packaging.

I can't believe all of the glowing reviews that the game is getting, it's great.
I also don't have a Switch...yet. But will hopefully before the year is up. Plan on purchasing some games on the upcoming BF sale, hopefully there will be some good deals.

My son and I had to fight to play first (I won of course). He didn't want to play 2 player even though I told him he gets the pleasure of being the hat. He didn't go for that...

Hehe. I'm loving the game so far. I'm only a few levels in but the game is filled with things to see and do. I've not seen so many 10s for a game other than when Nintendo released Breath of the Wild. I'd still give the nod to Zelda as my favorite game for the year, but Mario Odyssey is definitely a worthy new Mario game. I have to commend Nintendo, they are really nailing it this year with the Switch library, Zelda, Mario Kart DX, Arms, Splatoon 2, and Mario are all fantastic games. Not to mention some solid 3rd party and indie games. I hope they can keep up this momentum in 2018.

Great game so far. But if you're a completionist, wow, you're gonna have to do a lot of searching, I miss a lot of stuff and just randomly run across it.
And there's so many action controls that I get confused, especially during the boss battles, which so far, haven't been terribly difficult which I'm glad. I do like the integration of the 2d worlds and how your costume follows. I'm always looking for that out of place 'thing' to see if it does something too.

May finally get a Switch this weekend, if my local Best Buy has it in stock. I have a $25 off $250 Amex offer, $10 in BB rewards, and a mystery reward from My Best Buy of at least $5. My threshold was $300 for Switch + a game, and combine all the discounts with my $50 copy of Mario Odyssey brings the total to ~$310. Close enough! We'll see if there's stock when I get there.

Mission accomplished. As a bonus, I had enough points on my AmEx card for another $25 credit. So add it all up, it cost me $252.09 including tax. Hooray for frugality! Now I can actually play Mario Odyssey ... although I need to finish Mario Galaxy 2, which I'm currently in the middle of.

Congrats UsualNoise and welcome to the club. Post your friend ID and I’ll send you a friend request.
I am loving Mario at the moment. I’m seriously thinking of getting both doom and Skyrim for switch. Waiting to see how the reviews are.

Started Odyssey tonight. Played for almost 2 hours in 2-player mode with my daughter (who took Cappy). I must say, it's a great way to play with a slightly less experienced player (she's 14). As fun as expected so far, and obviously I've only scratched the surface.
As far as friend codes ... you actually showed up under my suggested friends so I think I'll be able to add you without exchanging codes.

Forgot to mention, one of the primary reasons I decided to go with a Switch now was that GameCube adapter news. I was NOT looking forward to lots of money spent on accessories, and now I'll be able to go without any additional controllers for the foreseeable future. I played Mario Odyssey with the joy-cons for myself and a GC controller for my daughter for Cappy - worked great. I don't plan on getting any games in the near future that would require a pro controller, but even if I did I'd likely go with this first to use my Wii U Pro Controllers: www.amazon.com/MAGIC-NS-Wireless-Controller-Bluetooth-controllers-Windows/dp/B07413R4HS/
