Counting 2 games as finished:
Super Mario Maker (Wii U) - Collected all amiibo costumes & finished all unlockables EXCEPT the Fighter Fly costume which requires beating Gnat Attack hard mode. I'm willing to admit that game is beyond my ability - it is simply insane. Still haven't created anything of significance though - maybe someday. Still, this is a 5 star game.
Super Mario Maker (3DS) - Completed all Mario Challenge levels, collected all 200 medals. Only giving this one 3 stars because many of the medals were simply tedious to collect and no online sharing makes me dock it significant points.

Finished the first playthrough of Persona 5 (so disappointed... to be done) and am now going for the platinum.

Finished Metroid: Rogue Dawn (fan-created hack of original Metroid). Really an amazing achievement with all new graphics, levels, and music. I felt the bosses were fairly weak overall, but the final section leading up to the final boss was VERY difficult. Nice update to the original, felt like a completely new game.

Finished Giga Wing on the Dreamcast. Man, they don't make games like that any more. If you like shooters, definitely check this one out.

Even though I will keep playing it, I am going to count Mario Kart 8 DX as finished. I golded every track on all levels. I was able to get 3 stars on everything save for the 200cc tracks.

Finished Uncharted 4 on PS4. It was a fun game overall and I'm a fan of the Uncharted series, but I kind of hoped for more on the PS4. The graphics were outstanding but the game plays out almost exactly the same as previous Uncharted games. You are after a treasure and somehow figure out all these clues on your own, just to get to the next location and find some evil mercenary military is standing in your way to getting to the next clue. Rinse repeat. The game has crazy production values and the voice acting is top notch. I had just hoped for the game to offer something new into the mix on the PS4. Instead it just played like a much prettier version of a PS3 game. I will say though, there is one section where you drive a jeep that was really good and felt like something out of a movie.
Overall, I'd give Uncharted 4 an 8/10 simply because it's a bit too formulaic and I hope that in the future Naughty Dog takes more risks with the franchise to try some new things in terms of gameplay.

Going back to one of my childhood favorites, I completed Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis. I remember the game being much longer as a kid, but it only took me a handful of hours to complete. The first 2 worlds in Sonic are still my favorite of the bunch. Who in their right mind thought giving a speedy hedgehog a water lever where he moves like molasses was a good idea? Nonetheless, great game. Got all the chaos emeralds to boot so I got the good ending.
I will say, after all these years, Sonic still holds up as a fun and unique game. I never did play Sonic 2 or 3 as a kid, so I look forward to checking those out soon.

Finished Super Mario Deluxe (Game Boy Color) on 3DS virtual console. OK game with the added challenge mode, but annoying at times with the drastically reduced screen size. Collected everything except the Toad medal (achieved for 1,160,000 score in Challenge mode). I'm annoyed that there's still one thing left, but the task of grinding through levels over and over to eke out another 1000-2000 points in each is not enticing.

Giving my Sega Genesis some more love, I finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist. I love old arcade games like this. Yes, its pure button mashing, but it's just good dumb fun and especially enjoyable with a second player. Now if only the TMNT movies were any good...

Finished playing God of War 2 on my PS3 (its a port of a PS2 game). I really like the God of War series and am amazed at what the developers were able to do on the PS2 hardware. The game still holds up very well today.

Played through arcade mode on Radiant Silvergun for the Sega Saturn. This is a fantastic shoot'em up game. Wow. It's made by Treasure and it looks and plays fantastic. What I love about this game is that it doesn't feel impossible hard. Games like ikaruga feel impossible hard to me, but Radiant Silvergun felt challenging but doable. Of course I died countless times on my first play through, but I had a ton of fun all the way through the game and the entire time I felt like if I put in more hours into this game that I could get through levels without dying. Really really good game and highly recommend to Saturn owners out there. I believe this one was also remade for the XBOX 360 on XBOX Live Arcade so for those of you that don't have Saturns you can still access it.

Finally finished Telltale Batman just in time for the next season tomorrow. It had it's own take on the Bat-mythos and was pretty good.

Played through all of Soul Calibur on the Sega Dreamcast. I unlocked everything in this game. All the characters and artwork. What a great game and it still looks great even today. This game was the reason I bought a Dreamcast back in 99 and I loved playing through every minute of it.

Jincman came over on Sunday and we played through all of the Dreamcast version of Hydro Thunder. Unlocked all tracks and boats. What a great game. Still holds up well today, although IMO WaveRace just blows it away.

Played through Super Punch Out on the SNES in its entirety. Man, that was a challenging game. I beat the Minor, Major, and World circuits in the game. From there I discovered that there was a "special circuit" but the only way to unlock it was to go through the minor, major, and world circuits and not lose a single match, so I did that. Then that unlocks the special circuit where the fighters are even more challenging. It took numerous play throughs, but I finally made it through the special circuit undefeated. There's nothing quite like that satisfied feeling that finishing an old school game brings ya.

I 'tried' to go old school pre-order this week but of course N doesn't want any of our money.

I've abandoned any efforts at getting these mini system. The headaches aren't worth it. If they're ever actually in stock in a physical store (they won't be) I might get one.

Finished Michael Jacksons Moonwalker on Genesis today. This game started out easy enough but got insanely hard on the second to last level. After dying multiple times on this last stage and starting the game over from the beginning, I finally lost interest in trying for another time. So, I used a cheat code to get more lives and then I managed to finally get through the last part of the game. Great music in the game and some neat ideas, but this one doesn't hold up amazingly well, especially the last boss which is a bit confusing at first. Still, fun to play through once.

Finished Uncharted The Lost Legacy. I was shocked at the length. I enjoyed it as much as any of the other games too.
