HA HA, o.k. let me start with Heroes. First we have the annoying bipolar girl. One second she’s so sweet and cute but then you ask her something and next thing you know her head is spinning with pea soup spewing out. I still don’t know why she is living with Heroes’ version of the Odd Couple and why they can’t seem to afford to buy light bulbs for that apartment.
And then we have Lil’ Jheri Curl’s story. His power being used to rig up wrestling pay per view was corny enough, but then the show using that to show off his cousin’s new ability (I guess every other person in the world is now a superhero) is getting out of hand. What happens when she starts watching those kids play videogames?
The whole story with the cheerleader and her Superman has gotten to the point where it is no longer just cheesy but testing my patience. And there is still so many questions that I have, why are the Petrelli boys still alive, where one doesn’t know his identity and the other is an alcoholic? Maybe I completely missed it or maybe these questions will be answered later but I think they should have thrown us some type of bone, and not just start the next season like I’m watching a different story take place (kind of like the episode last season on “What it would be like if the bomb hit”). Sometimes I’m watching this and I have no clue why things are playing out like there are. Seeing a lot of 30 Rock love in here and will have to check it out. Didn’t realize Job was on there, his voice and expressions just crack me up. By far my favorite character on Arrested Development. Was always hesitant before because I'm not really an Alec Baldwin fan.

I haven't found Heroes to be so confusing:
1. The pea soup girl is able to find people. But some powerful people can find her and would like to use her power to find other "Heroes". So, she's scared of the bad guys. The lights are off because it is usually night time when they show her at the apartment.
2. Jheri Curls power has always been to see inside things and fix stuff. He fixed a phone last season, the voting electronics, an ATM. Why would you be upset that he can fix a TV cable setup in this season. The thing that seemed odd to me is that he apparently used his power to fix his cousin's power. So, now she can learn stuff super fast.
3. I do agree that it is super silly that so many people are Heroes and that they all interact with each other by some random events. But at least it makes some sense that there are super heroes in the same family. But strangely enough, the ones in the same family all have very different powers. So, again, it seems silly. I almost stopped watching the show last season because of this but eventually decided that I would just ignore it and enjoy the show. Suspend your disbelief.
4. The cheerleader... you don't like her boyfriend? I guess it's a bit silly he has the same power as Petrelli. But what's cheesy about him? You don't like the dialogue? I thought he was OK.
5. They haven't said how the Petrelli brothers survived. But one might assume that the presidential candidate flew up into the sky and then let go and flew away. His bother Peter exploded. The presidential candidate got all depressed, started drinking, grew a beard and was pushed away from his family. Little did he know that Peter simply regenerated somewhere and is now alive.

Agree with most everything reaper said. I'm really enjoying Heroes so far this season and kind of like that there are some mysteries that have yet to be explained. Peter is much less annoying now with no hair hanging down in his face all the time. He's actually grown on me as a character. The death/life brother & sister duo are pretty cool ... hopefully Sylar doesn't kill them too soon.

[MORE HEROES SPOILERS]
1. I get that she is able to find other heroes, I just find it funny how she was able to switch moods so fast. Not like “No, I’m scared”, but instead screaming at the top of her lungs. Sometimes they show her when it is dark because she is sleeping but other times I would expect a light to be on because it is night time. (but that's just my small nitpick)
2. I understand his reasoning of why to fix the television, I just thought it was goofy for the show itself to use that example so she could discover her abilities by whipping out some WWE on the robber at the store. What I don’t understand was how she was able to be ‘fixed’, since she wasn’t electronic…unless she’s a robot?? I kid.
3. Like you, I’ve gotten to the point were I take some of these things with a grain of salt but I think it’s a little much, esp. when some of these new heroes’ powers don’t differentiate themselves (though I guess that's just Cheerleader's man) or add anything to the story. It’s like they are throwing more in just for the sake of doing it. Like the morphing girl who saved Sylar.
4. No, not really. It wasn’t too bad for me until they got to the Hollywood sign and the whole “don’t you trust me”/ “I believe you but I don’t want to see you hurt” kind of moments. But that’s just me and how I am on these type of “cheesy” moments.
5. That’s a good assumption, just find it a little odd that so many people are treating him like an ordinary person and not someone who was about to become President. When he went to see his kids the lady didn’t know who he was, he responded by saying that it was ok, “I’m their father” and then she tells him that he wasn’t allowed. To me it seems like it would be pretty obvious from the get-go for her since this guy was the favorite to be President. Also, why does he look that way when seeing an alter ego in the mirror. His only thing is flying and not dual personalites like Jheri Curl’s mom, right?
It’s like I see the show unfolding one way but then I see something and say, “Well, that doesn’t make much sense”. I need to suspend my disbelief more but sometimes I just can’t get past it. One thing, though, that I don’t like about the end is when it says “On the next episode of Heroes…” and then it shows you something that might not happen for a few episodes down the line. [/SPOILERS]

Off the top of my head: Curb Your Enthusiasm - It's not on anybody's list, so you people must hate to laugh. Reaper - Great new show! Office My Name Is Earl Survivor Boston Legal - I'm always way behind on this show. Frequently too silly. Heroes - This show has been overrated since the moment it came out, and really only had one fantastic four or five episode run in the middle of last season, but it's still fun to watch. Bionic Woman - Only seen two episodes so I can't say much. Doesn't seem great. Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad - of the 3, only Family Guy is retaining it's quality. Chuck - still on the 3rd episode. May drop. South Park, Drawn Together, Sarah Silverman - All decent this season.
When 30 Rock debuted, I gave it five episodes and found it to be incredibly stupid and unfunny (I don't remember laughing once.) Then everyone told me it was great and it won an Emmy, so I tuned into the season 2 debut. I felt like I was watching a kids show it was so dumb and pandering. Was the the Seinfeld episode a bad episode??? I thought Tina Fey was supposed to be a smart writer.

Seeing a lot of 30 Rock love in here and will have to check it out. Didn’t realize Job was on there, his voice and expressions just crack me up. His name was GOB. (Sorry, I must!) 3. HEROES SPOILERS: The interconnectivity pissed me off last season as well, but they explained it all very well at the end (so much so that it impressed me.) This season, I don't know how they'll be able to do that. I thought for sure that the kid who stole the Rouge was working for the company. If it turns out that it was a coincidence that Claire's car was stolen and ended up at the twin's Mexican jail, I will stop watching this show right now. And Superman better be a plant too, or have some reasonable explanation as to why he suddenly befriended Claire. If that's a coincidence, this show is done for me too.

About befriending Claire: Well, she *is* cute. Wouldn't you befriend her if you saw her. He does have a penis right?
About the corniness: Yeah, I guess it is corny. I guess it doesn't bother me for some reason though.
About people recognizing the former presidential candidate: He grew a beard. Maybe she didn't recognize him with the beard.

It makes sense to have them all over the world or that they're the children of the original 12, but the stolen car and classmate connection are just too damn much. And Sylar being in the road. They better explain all this. I know they're going to do a "Four Months Ago" episode eventually to explain how Peter and Nathan got to where they are, but they better go a lot further. I don't care how good this show looks if they screw that up.

Gob is on 30 rock? man.....time to give 'er a shot.
personally, i wasn't too into this season of heroes until the end of last monday's episode, with the paintings. but luckily, too much coincidence won't be a dealbreaker for me; only a minor annoyance.

About people recognizing the former presidential candidate: He grew a beard. Maybe she didn't recognize him with the beard. Was he a presidential candidate at that point? He was running for office, but I don't think it was the presidency. I thought it was the Senate. Remember, when they went into the future in last season, they jumped like 7 years and then he was the President. I don't think he was running for presidency at this point. Hence, its easy for people to forget what he looks like. Heck, I don't even know what Illinois senators look like let alone people that were running and didn't get in.

Catching up on Chuck. I really like this one, hope it statys.
1) Good percentage of hot chicks. I think his sister is smokin, the agent is pretty too. But the HD isn't forgiving for her, she's got a lot of caked on makeup and the teeth are disturbing. But La Ciudad was smokin. 2) I like that they don't take it too seriously. That would've killed it for me.

popped in the Darkness on the 360 over the weekend; and spent close to an hour watching cartoons on an NPC's tv in a subway. i kept waiting for it to loop; but it wouldnt loop. so i kept watching. Old Popeye cartoons, the Three Stooges cartoon, and a couple others. then i snapped out of it and remembered i was actually playing a game, and went back to it.
overall its a decent action game. something about those subway stations though....they feel extremely authentic; not many repeating NPCs, the right kind of grime and garbage, sleeping folk and breakdancing folk, even that sickly yellow color that the bricks seem to become after all those years. and a homeless guy with a TV that can somehow receive a handful of TV stations.
any of you kids play Portal yet? a friend of mine claims it has the best ending for a videogame he's ever seen (tho he didnt play Shadow of the Colossus, which is one of my personal Favs). im itching for that one but i tihnk i need to finish Metroid, Darkness, and Zelda first. or at least one of them.

I'm really a pretty sad television watch as I pretty much watch whatever my wife watches. That would include House, ER, and others.
Although . . . the guys from work have got me hooked on The Office after forcing me to watch the first three season.
I also took a liking to 30 Roc last spring when I was taking a plane trip out west and download the entire season from iTunes to watch on the plane.

I'm also glad they don't take the show seriously, first episode had me worried as I couldn't get a feel for what direction they wanted to take. popped in the Darkness on the 360 over the weekend; and spent close to an hour watching cartoons on an NPC's tv in a subway. i kept waiting for it to loop; but it wouldnt loop. so i kept watching. I remember the folks on 1upyours mentioned a movie playing from 'The Darkness' on the podcast a while back. I think it was "To kill a mockingbird". I like those little touches and attention to detail in games. I bought the Orange Box last week and am hoping to break it out this weekend. One of the big reasons I took the plunge was because of all the great things I heard about Portal. I've heard some knocks about it being short, but I actually prefer games to be this way now. That and I heard Team Fortress 2 was awesome and yet easy for noobs to FPS like me to get into. The bad thing is that I previously picked up both Half life 2 and HL2: Episode 1 for $10 each and have yet to break the seal. Maybe I can still find the receipts to take them back and just take advantage of the Orange Box package.

yeah - to kill a mockingbird is only one of the movies....there was another classic playing on a different channel; and a couple other channels were music videos. very cool. little things mean a lot.
i havent beaten portal yet myself; but i have to say.....funnier than Gears' ending? that's HIGH-larious, the Cole-Train song...

Yes, better than the Cole-train song. But that's still a classic.
