Gone Home on PS4. Not bad for a PS Plus freebie. Slow paced but interesting story, not where I thought it would go.
Not sure why, but the last few games have been about female teenage angst. Am I turning into a female teen?!?!

Maybe you've always been a female teenager on the inside.

I beat UC4. Great game. Loved it from start to end. ND remain masters of their craft. It's sad to see the series end but it was probably about time. i could play another Last of Us and then some new IP from them if I had a choice. Hopefully in VR by then.

Completed Mario's Picross 2 for the original Game Boy. Very lengthy game, found an English translation since it was only released in Japan.

Got the platinum in Assassins Creed Syndicate and then beat the Jack the Ripper DLC. What an improvement over the last game. Also beat Trials of the Blood Dragon. The bike parts are so good and the platforming parts are so bad. Starting Uncharted 4 when I get back from China.

Finished Destiny: The Taken King
This game is still fun. I am enjoying leveling my character again, seeing new locations, etc. I wish there was no Destiny 2. I want them to just keep making this game bigger and bigger.

Completed Twilight Princess HD on Wii U this weekend. This one is the definitive version, so I ditched my Wii version. I haven't finished the Cave of Shadows part with the Wolf Link amiibo, but I will before Breath of the Wild comes out. I will say, one thing I didn't do previously in Twilight Princess was find all the poes. This time, I decided I would. Man, what a waste. I spent hours tracking all of those things down and collecting them and at the end the guy gives you 200 rupees. Seriously?!? Not even a heart piece? I could spend less time hacking away at grass to collect 200 rupees than finding all of the poes. My advice to anyone that is playing this is to stop collecting poes after you reach 20. Not worth it...

Finished BoxBoxBoy! for 3DS. Very similar to the original, which I liked so that's a good thing. Re: Twilight Princess, I guess that's why my brother told me not to bother collecting poes on our Zelda playthrough...

Not worth it... Sorry dschroll. I'm shaking my head while smiling a bit. Yeah, those different type of quests that pad game lengths, yeah...I'm too old for that so I hear ya. Thanks for the tip. The only game that I can remember where I played side quests in addition to the main game was the hunts on Final Fantasy XII. Those actually provided a nice challenge trying to take down strong individual monsters. Most of the time I'm a straight point A to point B guy, and I probably miss out on a lot of good side quests because of it.

Got the platinum in Odin Sphere. What a gorgeous game (almost as good as Muramasa and definitely better than Dragon's Crown.)

Finished Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 campaign on PS3. Short and sweet. It's one of those games I liken to a big dumb summer blockbuster movie. It's a lot of spectacle and fun set pieces and explosions, but nothing memorable story wise. Happy to finally cross it off my backlog

Finished Donkey Kong Country Returns on my 3DS. Man, this game was punishingly difficult. I don't think I ever swore so much playing a game than I did with this one The game had some good moments and pretty graphics, but overall, I prefer Mario much more than I do Donkey Kong. Glad to be done with this one though.

Yeah, that's kind of why I've still not gotten into the DKC series ... I heard how difficult it was (especially for a completionist) from my brother. Someday maybe.
Finished Mini Mario & Friends: Amiibo Challenge. Pretty good Mario vs DK style game, just required a bunch of Amiibo to complete (which I had). Kind of a pointless use of the main display, though, since you're staring at the gamepad the whole time. And the main display, although displaying the entire level, was usually too small to be very useful for quick glances. For a free game, though, I'm not complaining. Still need to play Mario vs DK Tipping Stars but I've been waiting for a discount (from $20) and it hasn't had any sales or price drops since release.

Finished Kirby's Epic Yarn on the Wii with my daughter. She enjoyed it. I found it frustrating. I wanted to do well or at least somewhat carry her through the map. But the game was designed so that the two players bump into each other. So, I constantly found her in my way, preventing me from helping. We'd both be at some new challenge. I'd wait 2 seconds to see if she was brave enough to take it on. She'd just be sitting there. So, I'd jump into the fray. Right as I would jump, she would jump too and we'd bump and both end up plummeting to our deaths in the pit, all of our hard work collecting gems, sadly flying out of our bodies . On the plus side, the gems had no correlation to progress in the game, it seems. So, I tried to just ignore that and keep going through levels with her. Not sure why she got so attached to this one when we also have the yarn game for the wii U... yoshi. Anyways... done and done.

Completed Bionic Command Rearmed on my 360. Had this one for a while and decided to crank through it. It was a decent game, but I have to say that not having a jumping ability made things far more challenging than they needed to be. I never played the original, but this version was decent overall. Happy to cross another one off my list.

Completed Pac-Man Championship Edition DX for PS3. Fun game, although it got a bit repetitive. The hardest part was getting all the achievements (especially 1,800,000 in 5 minute time attack mode). I wish I had the PS3 adapter for my X-Arcade joystick - I'm sure it would have been MUCH easier than using the PS3 D-pad (but I got used to it).
