Finally finished playing through Minecraft Story Mode (all 8 episodes) with my daughter. Not a big Minecraft fan myself, but my daughter is. Fun story even without being big into Minecraft. Pretty glitchy overall though (played on PS3), lots of loading and freezing in various spots.

Finished Episode 1 of the Telltale Batman game. It's decent so far and adds a couple of neat ideas into the mix like Batman devising a battle plan when breaking into a place filled with thugs. The story is interesting enough that I am looking forward to seeing how it plays out. I just wish they got Kevin Conroy to do the voice as I'm so used to hearing his voice as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Finished Episode 2 of Telltale Batman game. The story has a unique take on things so far. I definitely want to see this one through if only to see how it gets resolved.

Finished Moon Chronicles for 3DS (all 4 chapters). Pretty good Metroid-Prime-like game, although not nearly as polished. Extremely challenging bosses, and I was playing on normal difficulty (not hard). I enjoyed it though, and played using the New 3DS second stick for aiming.

Finished Episode 3 of Telltale Batman series. Ended on a big cliffhanger. Now I just have to wait for the remaining 2 chapters to come out.

Finished Megaman 2 on my NES classic. I never played this game back in the day and have been wanting to play it for some time. Was excited it was part of the NES classic mini. The game is insanely hard and I'm happy Nintendo put in save states as I just didn't have it in me to replay from the beginning of levels. I don't know how we used to enjoy games as kids as I don't recall games being that hard. Maybe I've just gotten to be a weaker gamer. Nonethelss, it's an awesome little game and I'm so glad I got to play through it. Looks fantastic in pixel perfect mode and I LOVE the music in it. I think I found my next ring tone

Funny, I'm actually (slowly) making my way through the original Mega Man - I have it as part of the PS2 Mega Man Anniversary Collection (playable on my OG PS3). I don't know about #2, but the original is also incredibly hard. I've read it's the hardest, but I won't know until I get to #2. And no, I don't have save states (which as you say is incredibly frustrating), but it at least saves your progress through the worlds (unlike the original NES version). I'm about 60% complete. If I finish it, it will be the hardest game I have finished in my life.

I beat the original Mega man ironically also on that Megaman collection when I had it for my Gamecube. The first Megaman is absolutely harder than 2 was. The only way I was able to even beat the first Megaman game is taking advantage of a glitch in the game for one of the last bosses.
I won't spoil it for you if you don't want me to, but I tried many a time to beat him fair and square, but couldn't, so when i read about the glitch to beat him, I tested it and it worked in the anniversary collection. Good luck!

Ha, I know exactly what glitch you are talking about. It has been a while but I think I beat the game without the glitch. Not sure if I could do it again though. Maybe with a save state right at the boss but I don't remember how far you have to start back if you die.
I remember in elementary school playing the original Ninja Gaiden on NES and making it all the way to Jaquio. I'd die and have to restart the whole level from the beginning. Even being kid with all the time in the world, I still didn't have the patience to persevere and eventually gave up on the game. I thought it was so cheap that I had to play the whole level again to fight the boss. Games are a lot different now.

Jincman came over yesterday and he and I did some retro gaming. Played all the way through Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3 on SNES. Man, I love the 16 bit consoles.

Beat Super Mario Sunshine. I forgot how hard that game was - just to beat, not even to complete.

Got the Plat in Watch Dogs 2. It was by far the easiest Ubi plat in a long time.
Also beat Uncharted 4.

Finished Super Mario Land 2 for the Gameboy (3DS Download). The game has you going through a series of stages to collect 6 coins. Once you have all 6 coins it unlocks the door to Wario's castle. Collecting the coins was relatively painless and fairly easy. But Wario's castle was a PITA. No checkpoints so every time you died you had to start back at the beginning. Thank goodness for save states.

Finished Ep. 5 is the Batman Telltale game. This concludes the entire game for me. The 5th episode was ok. Nothing huge revealed in it. Overall, the game was pretty good and even mixed it up a bit with some of the detective moments in the game along with planning your combat strategy on certain parts. The story was just ok for me. It was a unique story (at least to me it was) and I won't spoil it for others, but it was not my favorite story in the Batman universe. It was creative nonetheless.
I have to say though, I feel like loading times and frame rates are not great on Telltale games. I played this on my PS4 and felt like it chugged a few times. These games are not that graphically intense nor do they move all that quick, so I always wonder why it seems a struggle for Telltale to make this game buttery smooth.
Overall, if you're a Batman fan, it's a cool game. If you're a Telltale fan, it's a cool game. If you're not either, then this won't move the needle for you. I'd give it a 7.5/10.

Finished Shantae Half Genie Hero. Might wait for some guides to get the plat. Amazing game, for a Kickstarted game, though a teeny short.

Completed Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars. I don't really feel it was worth $20 but it never went on sale. Got about 14 hours of gameplay and that's with getting all gold trophies. Of course, you also have access to online courses but I'm not bothering with that.
